On November 13, 1963, a local group, The Trashmen, were introduced to the nation with their big hit Surfin Bird. In this episode, Tony Andreason, one of the original members of the Trashmen shares the story of how the Trashmen got their name, how the song Surfin Bird was created, and what it was like to go from Garage Band to International stars.
